Dr Benjamin Soole

Dr Ben Soole is a registrar completing his training in Sport and Exercise Medicine through the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians. He is currently in his final year of training.

Ben was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, and graduated from The University of Auckland in 2015. He has spent time in the hospital system, as well as working in a GP role. Ben moved to Sydney in 2023 to continue his training.

He has an interest in all sports and has a background in playing football (soccer), among other sports. He enjoys keeping active in the gym and has an interest in bodybuilding and powerlifting.

Ben is currently the assistant doctor for the South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL team, and he also has a role as the Rabbitohs Pathways doctor. He is the current team doctor for the New Zealand Women's Rugby League team, the Kiwi Ferns, whom he has cared for since 2019. Outside of rugby league, Ben has worked in rugby union as the team doctor for Moana Pasifika during the 2022 and 2023 Super Rugby Pacific seasons. He has also worked in football, netball and tennis.

Ben enjoys working with a variety of people and is able to assess and manage both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. When indicated, he is able to perform or coordinate adjunct treatments, such as injections of cortisone, platelet rich plasma and hyaluronic acid, as well as offer extracorporeal shockwave therapy.
