Dr Nele Lenders is a specialist Endocrinologist with a commitment to providing excellent and evidence-based care to patients. She has a special interest in pituitary disease, sports endocrinology, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), functional hypothalamic amenorrhea (FHA) and adrenal disorders.
Nele has completed a PhD in pituitary disease, through the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. She has a passion for research and its translation to clinical practice. She has 13 publications in the field of endocrinology and regularly presents at national and international conferences.
Nele is a Staff Specialist Endocrinologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and is a lecturer with UNSW School of Medicine.
Nele completed Endocrinology specialist training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital (QLD), Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (QLD), Greenslopes Hospital (QLD) and St Vincent’s Hospital (NSW). She has a breadth of expertise in all areas of endocrinology.
Nele also accepts referrals for a range of general endocrine conditions, including diabetes, obesity, thyroid and bone disorders.
In her spare time, Nele enjoys cooking, spending time with family, her dog, playing sport and running marathons.
